Light In A Spoon showed up in my life 16 years ago when I picked up a book called "I Heard God Laughing, Renderings of Hafiz". Each poem cracked open bits of my heart and mind as I let the humor and wisdom of this ancient master seep into the deeper parts of ME. The MAGIC and SELFLESSNESS of 'A Poet' ignited a fire that burned hot with possibility in the secret place, unexpressed...until NOW. A Poet is someone who can pour light into a spoon Then raise it To Nourish Your beautiful parched, holy mouth. (Hafiz) ​ Anyone who dreams and then conjures their own magic of pouring light into a spoon with the intention of nourishing 'another', is truly a POET of LIFE itself. I am a POET, you are a POET and we share LIFE Together. The deeper intention of Light In A Spoon Productions is to be a gathering place of creative power, support and love that contributes something unique in furthering an awakening to the POETRY we ALL carry. At the same time Light In A Spoon is a conduit that allows MANY to pour their unique light into the 'collective' spoon...to nourish all of our beautiful parched, holy mouths. As mentioned in an early post, we are using a diversity of media to communicate...Be patient. We're taking our first steps on wobbly legs. The structure is being created to support LIFE. ​ A week ago Tuesday I shared thoughts and desires of bringing Light In A Spoon to life with my son Luke. I asked if he would partner with me and 'help' me...cuz God knows if I hadn't Light In a Spoon would probably have echoed off empty walls in the realms of "maybe someday" and "I really would like to..." He said 'YES' and within 2 days he took what had rumbled around in my heart and mind for years and set to work to create 'a presence'...to make Light In A Spoon REAL in the world.
