Welcome to the LLHHI web site. Our organization is working hard to provide its membership with exciting and interesting courses for the academic year. Lifelong Learning of Hilton Head Island (LLHHI) is a success story in continuing education. We offer unique learning experiences for mature adults who are motivated to learn and enjoy being with others who share these passions. We are a nonprofit relying on the knowledge and commitment of volunteer teachers, directors, and willing assistants. With the outstanding coordination of this team we offer the best educational experience possible to our members. We do all this in beautiful Hilton Head locations that include The Cypress, Seabrook, and TidePointe retirement communities who support LLHHI through the use of their facilities. We have two terms each year, one six-week session in fall starting in early October and an eight-week session in winter/spring starting in early February. In each we offer about two dozen classes on subjects as diverse as history, philosophy, art, dance, current events, gardening, movies, medicine, architecture, and more. Membership is $20 per semester and tuition is $45 per semester. This allows you to take as many classes as you want, meet new friends, and volunteer if you are so inclined. The only prerequisite to membership is a curiosity to learn. If you have ideas for future classes or if you are interested in teaching a class yourself , we welcome your input.
