LIFEcycle is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2008 by a group of Rhode Islanders with a desire to localize their volunteer and charitable efforts. With a small, focused and dedicated board of directors leading the way, LIFEcycle maintains a lean operating budget with no overhead and limited administrative costs. LIFEcycle’s flagship event is Ride ‘Round Rhody, a bike-a-thon that raises money for local cancer treatment. In its first four years, participants raised more than $150,000. In addition to providing funds for local cancer treatment, LIFEcycle also promotes healthy, active living by hosting monthly fitness seminars for cancer survivors and bariatric surgery patients.
