Lidl Malta was founded in 2008 with its first outlets in Santa Venera, Luqa and San Gwann. Today, Lidl Malta operates 10 retail units, including Safi, Zejtun, Qormi, Mosta, Sliema, Burmarrad and in the island of Gozo. In a few years Lidl Malta has become one of the most important players in the national retail market.
