On Saturday April 2, 2010, Lewiston Auburn Magazine, L/A Arts and Maine Public Brocasting Network have partnered together to bring the first-ever Lewiston Auburn Film festival to be held simultaneously in ten downtown locations. Organizers have received over 100 film submissions from more than 18 different countries, bringing high-caliber independent films to the Twin Cities including documentaries, feature, shorts and avant garde experimental films. Included in the jam-packed, day-long event are workshops for both filmmakers and film enthusiasts, screenings of fantastic cinema masterpieces, question-and-answer sessions with visiting and local filmmakers and actors, and a cumulative red carpet soiree dinner and awards ceremony at Fuel. Headlining the event will be an advance preview of local filmmaker Bill Moraldo’s documentary “PAL HOPS DAYS” at the Franco-American Heritage center including a reception and question-and- answer session with PAL hop band members and the filmmaker. Needless to say, this is an event not to be missed!
