Why Let’sTALK? because everyone wants to be Seen, Heard and Valued. The Let'sTALK Program aims to transform organisational cultures where everyone can feel safe to talk about their concerns before they escalate to bigger issues including mental illness, and even suicide. The Program helps to cultivate a climate of psychological safety in workplaces and schools to improve wellbeing and performance. The Let’sTALK framework provides a structured approach to conversations for Let’sTALK Mentors and Buddies, who provide frontline support to someone with a concern or in distress. Training is provided to have the skills and confidence to engage and empower the person towards working through their challenges with the help of support services. "Letting everyone talk safely" (Let’s) is the vision of the Let’sTALK Program. Each Let'sTALK conversation is guided by the "TALK" framework: Tell - when there a concern and ask if help is needed. Acknowledge - the person with empathy and gratitude and validate their concern. Listen - to help the person externalise their concern with no judgment. Keep in touch - to support and refer the person to a support service as required. The Let’sTALK Program is a 12 month engagement where ongoing coaching, activities, systems and measures are put in place to ensure a culture transformation is sustained.
