Science World is a BC-based charitable organization that engages the people of British Columbia in hands-on, experiential science learning.
Our mission is to ignite wonder and empower dreams through science and nature. Our vision is that within a generation, Canada will be a country of thriving, sustainable communities rooted in scientific literacy, technological innovation and a deep connection to nature.
We pride ourselves on being passionate, playful and imaginative—because if you're going to promote curiosity in science and technology you have to make it fun.
Youth Challenge International (YCI) is accelerating youth innovation for good. Together with young leaders and innovators, we are creating a future where people, planet and profit can thrive.
YCI believes that a better world can – and will – be built by the next generation. This is why we are going all in on the bold ideas, skills and ventures that will get us there. 🚀
Chicago Lights builds brighter futures for Chicago’s youth and adults through supportive relationships and life-changing programs.
We provide creative youth development and social services that help people build
the skills they need to transcend the challenges of poverty and lead fulfilling lives. Chicago Lights partners with Chicago’s youth and adults in mentoring, supportive services, academic enrichment, career development, and arts education.
Chicago Lights is the nonprofit at Fourth Presbyterian Church. Our programs grew from the church’s commitment to social justice and compassionate service, beginning with the founding of the Tutoring program in 1964. The commitment to education and literacy expanded and in 1991 gave rise to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which in 2004 was renamed Chicago Lights. Since the inception of Tutoring, we have served more than 60,000 people.
