Welcome to Let’s Hemp It, a social community site dedicated to advancing the possibilities of industrial hemp, the non-psychotropic cousin of marijuana, and other plant-based products. With its long and colorful history, hemp contributes to “green becoming the new black”, as it is used for thousands of products, from textiles to building materials, food to fuel, skin care to plastics, even batteries and integrated circuits. Let’s Hemp It creates a forum for stories, opinions, queries and networking, where its community can engage in chatter about past, present and future products to be fabricated from this amazing crop. For our community, we seek tales of interest, from growers and fabricators, about their experiences which are entertaining, engaging and informative. We look to innovators and co-creators to imagine and reimagine use cases for hemp and other plant-based substances. We aspire to have industrialists describe how they will substitute hemp components into new leading-edge offerings. We believe this industry should band together in envisioning a collective future, as the competition within the hemp space is really producers of toxic incumbent materials, such as petroleum, that hemp can displace, if not improve upon.
