Let's Do It, Romania! Information

Let’s Do It, Romania! is Romania’s largest social movement dedicated to the environment and civic engagement, bringing together citizens, schools, companies, public authorities and NGOs to create lasting change. Part of the global Let’s Do It World movement, we have mobilized over 3.2 million volunteers in cleanup actions alone over the past 16 years, while expanding our work into environmental education, civic-tech and community engagement. Our mission is to build a culture of responsibility towards the environment and society through education, participation and collaboration. Our main areas of action are: - National Cleanup Day – Romania’s largest environmental volunteering initiative, mobilizing communities across the country every year; - Doers School – our free environmental education and civic engagement program for preschool, primary and middle-school students; - Let’s Do It, Romania! App – our civic-tech platform through which citizens can report illegally dumped waste and ragweed and follow the status of their reports; - Corporate and community volunteering – environmental actions that bring companies, employees and communities together around measurable impact. Our work has also contributed to systemic change. In 2024, a legislative initiative proposed by Let’s Do It, Romania! became Law no. 266/2024, officially establishing the third Saturday of September as National Cleanup Day in Romania. From mobilizing millions of volunteers in cleanup actions to bringing environmental education into schools and civic action into public policy, we work to turn environmental responsibility into concrete action. We clean. We educate. We mobilize. We create the tools and frameworks that make action possible.
