Les Enfants Terribles is a close knit ensemble based in the Chicago area. The company was founded in 2008 and became at Non Profit 501(c) 3 Organization in 2011. Les Enfants Terribles are passionate about creating wholly original works that reveals societal ills through the lens of the bouffon. LET performs throughout the Chicago area presenting their created pieces, scripted plays that mock society, as well as appearing at private events. The ensemble's performances typically entail physically specific characters, singing, spectacle, and a large amount of audience participation. “Grotesque in nature, the bouffon is the outcast shunned by society and told to live outside of the village. On rare occasions, he is asked to perform for the pleasure of those who previously persecuted him. On these occasions the bouffon willingly accepts.
