At Lendal, our passion is innovation in service of performance. This philosophy goes back to our founding, when sprint kayaker Alistair Wilson figured he could make paddles that were at least as good as any he could buy. He was right, and from that Lendal was born. Some 40 years later, Alistiar is still obsessed with pushing the limits of performance, and Lendal has grown into a family company. Working alongside Alistiar are his wife Marianne (herself a two-time Oympian) and two of their three children. They are ably assisted by a team of skilled craftspeople who bring many years of experience and dedication to the crafting of what we believe to be the finest range of paddles available anywhere. We're joined by Neil Baxter, seasoned waterman and international man of mystery. Neil is probably the most gifted designer working in paddlesports today, with a unique understanding of how objects interact with the water. His slalom kayak designs are always in demand amongst top olympians, and his Kinetik blade concept, now universally copied in whitewater, has re-defined performance. The new Kinetik Wing project is the culmination of many years of Neil's design expertise, and it is destined to re-define all-conditions performance paddling. If you need to find Neil, look in the surf zone--he will be the last one out there when everyone else has gone home (or drowned). We are also privileged to work with top athletes in a wide range of paddling disciplines, including sea paddlers like Shawna Franklin, Peter Bray, Nigel Dennis, and Justine Curgenven, whitewater paddlers like Jason Hale and Andria Baldovin, and top competitive paddlers such as Campbell Walsh. You'll also see our paddles in the hands of some of the most ambitious expeditions to all corners of the globe, because our unique blend of durability and performance can make the difference between success and failure. Of course, our goal is to make this world-class performance available to every paddler, so that you can get more from your precious time on the water.
