Lektratek Information

Lektratek is a Potchefstroom based manufacturing plant with their main focus to produce precision mechanical components. Potchefstroom is considered as a "university town" as the North West University has its main campus in town. Several other big industries also have facilities in town: Tiger Brand, Nestlé, Chubby Chick and others. The company is a family business with a management team of seven people. Gert van der Walt is still involved in the business and proudly boasts with his three sons as part of this team: Hannes is the managing director, Jan runs production and human resources and Stefan manages the surface treatmet devisions. The boys have always been part of the business as their father encouraged them to work in the factory since their primary school days. At this stage the company has 112 employees with years of experience. Different trade specialists are part of these selected group as precision is a key factor in the manufacturing process. Its clients come from every industry in the world, locally as well as international clients.
