Legis promotes the rule of law and lays the foundations for more peaceful and prosperous societies by empowering people to use law as a catalyst for social change and by promoting collaborative action across economic, sectarian, and party lines. Our programs equip change agents and champions in civil society, local governments and communities, ministries, and parliaments to improve the quality of governance, boosting institutional and policy performance, increasing compliance with laws and norms, and improving outcomes for all stakeholders. To date, our consultants have worked with researchers and drafters in more than 40 countries to develop, design, draft, and amend legislative provisions addressing the causes of long-standing institutional problems. We are dedicated to helping people solve problems and cultivate political, social, and economic development. To do this, we offer evidence-based, consultative legislative drafting strategies for crafting policies, legislation, and regulations that actually achieve their stated purposes.
