Legible Information

Legible is a small advisory and publishing practice focused on a particular class of organizational problem: the plan is sound, the work is moving, and the result is still drifting from the original intent. Every organization operates through two systems at once. The first is the formal system of goals, owners, milestones, structures, and governance. The second is the system in practice: incentives, risk, informal authority, relationships, and the quiet veto points through which work actually moves. When these systems diverge, capable people compensate. The work continues, dashboards remain green, and the organization adapts around conditions it has not fully recognized. We help leaders make those conditions visible. We examine where decisions hold or reopen, where information stops, where risk accumulates, and where the work is being quietly reshaped. We then design focused, practical changes to the mechanisms governing the outcome. Legible works with a small number of senior teams each year. The work is hands-on, confidential, and built around the realities of each organization.
