Legacy Steel was formed from the over 60 years of steel and precast experience of its leadership team. Jeff Leeuw, President, served for many years as Vice President of Steel and Precast for Lamar Construction. Overseeing Legacy's projects and work crews are Wade Walcott, Conventional Steel Division Manager, and Matt Swift, Pre-Engineered Division Manager/Estimator. DJ Coke has taken on the role of Estimator and Sales, much as he did for years at Lamar Construction. This leadership team oversees a field crew of 55 experienced Certified Crane Operators (CCO), foremen, and iron workers. Beyond in-house and on-the-job training, Legacy helps our team receive the certifications and training needed to ensure your project meets your expectations. Our team holds designations such as HILTI certifications, welding certifications, aerial and forklift licenses, hoisting and rigging training, Hazwoper certifications, and MIOSHA steel erection and fall protection training.
