South Georgia Pecan Company began in 1913 as a small shelling plant owned by the Pearlman family of Valdosta. In 1967, the company became part of the Beatrice Food Group. With the breakup of Beatrice Foods in 1983, the current owners, the Worn Family, purchased the company with commitment to quality and service that has formed it into the industry that it is today. South Georgia Pecan Company has two plants now, one is located in Valdosta, Georgia and the other is located in El Paso, Texas. We are committed to producing safe, top quality nut products for our customers and consumers. We have a wide range of nuts to choose from with pecans being the heart at both of our plants.

We are the stewards in the name of future generations of over 6,850ac of Texas land. Pecan Grove Farms & Nursery ("PGF") provides a reliable supply of desirable, high quality pecan products to the national and international market.

The American Pecan Council (APC) is a group of passionate pecan growers and shellers whose life work is dedicated to growing, harvesting and processing America's native nut. Founded in 2016 through a Federal Marketing Order, the APC's mission is to promote the many benefits of the American Pecan and help tell the story of this truly unique nut. With oversight by the USDA, APC aims to build consumer demand, develop markets and establish industry standards. APC is based in Fort Worth, Texas, and funded by pecan handlers in 15 pecan-producing states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.
