Left Hook Consulting, founded by Katie Bethell, works with campaign, communications, and technology teams to build powerful, innovative projects that change the world. Katie Bethell is a veteran of political advocacy and nonprofit management with a special interest in using and developing online tools. Katie was a member of the founding team at MomsRising.org. There, she played a central and leadership role in the development of its strategies for member growth and engagement; its signature media-earning tactics; and its creative and resourceful use of technology. As Campaign Director, she helped MomsRising to grow from a handful of members to over a million strong with campaigns that engaged, inspired, and won. As Technology Lead, Katie spearheaded the development and use of technology to facilitate MomsRising’s growth and support organizational goals. Prior to her work with MomsRising, Katie oversaw the volunteer program at One Reel, producers of large-scale arts festivals including Bumbershoot. She has also worked as a project manager for a tech start-up, been featured on the Huffington Post, and serves as an adviser for several local organizations and campaigns.
