LeeSide is an independent portfolio management firm which offers services to both institutional and private clients. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, LeeSide is owned and operated by Robert McKim, George Loughery and Don Wishart who previously worked together as officers and senior portfolio managers at Seamark Asset Management. The team has over 100 years’ collective experience in investment and financial management. LeeSide's investment philosophy is to purchase high quality equities and hold them for the long-term. Like the most successful investors before them, the founders think of buying stocks as purchasing fractional interests in whole businesses. Careful attention to valuations, a willingness to be patient, and a strict discipline of investing in "best of class" securities are the hallmarks of its conservative, low-risk portfolios.
