Leeds Mencap Information

Leeds Mencap is a completely independent charity, started by and for those with learning disabilities. We’ve come a long way since we opened our doors nearly 70 years ago. Now, we support more than 470 families and individuals on their journey with learning disabilities. Not only do we offer important services to people with learning disabilities, we recognise the needs of the whole family too. We’re on hand to provide advice, support and long-term help to all those we work with. We operate out of The Vinery Centre, a warm and vibrant building which was built with the purpose of bringing communities together. We provide support through our youth clubs, playschemes, family support service, specialist playroom, sensory room and soft play area.
