Learning Empowered has a long history in our community. It was founded in 1975 as UMCM Suncoast (United Methodist Cooperative Ministries/Suncoast, Inc.) by the United Methodist Church to address the unmet needs of the local community in St. Petersburg. In 2019, we knew it was time to evolve as an organization. After an exhaustive and thoughtful process, we became Learning Empowered! An organization dedicated to using the inherent intelligence, passion, and drive in our clients and supporters to change the world.
