Learning Analytics Lab at IITB Information

The Learning Analytics Lab at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, housed within the Centre for Educational Technology, focuses on leveraging AI in Education (AIED) and Generative AI (GenAI) to understand and enhance how students learn. The lab analyses multimodal learning data from intelligent learning environments to uncover patterns in learners’ cognitive, affective, and metacognitive processes. By integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced analytics, the lab develops adaptive, personalized learning systems that support self-regulated learning and complex decision-making. With a strong foundation in learning analytics, educational data mining, and intelligent systems, the lab aims to transform educational experiences by designing AI-driven tools and GenAI-enabled interventions that improve teaching–learning processes at scale.
