LeapForWord is a product NGO, established in 2009, committed to making English learning accessible to communities across India. We work towards eliminating the single biggest bottleneck standing between regional language school students and the professional education & employment opportunities they deserve - English. At the heart of our model is a teacher-centric approach. LeapForWord equips government teachers with structured, practical tools that enable consistent classroom delivery - regardless of the teacher's own English proficiency. Our flagship solution, The English Literacy Program (ELP), is built on a proprietary translation algorithm that allows teachers to teach English in their students' mother tongue, while building specific capabilities: Reading, Spelling, Vocabulary and Comprehension. Since entering the public education space a decade back, we've evolved from a modest taluka intervention into a multi-state program defined by deep government integration, scalability, and a rigorous focus on verifiable student learning outcomes.
