Some of these presentations and posters won awards. I was the president of Roc-Soc, a postgraduate student run society responsible for organising social events such as weekends away, fund raising events, sporting competitions and the departmental seminar series which involved sourcing science speakers and introducing their talks.)

  MGEOL (Throughout my degree I regularly helped with university open days, public engagement events and school outreach visits. This included science busking and hosting workshops about nano-science and technology in Leicester city center, leading university experience days for secondary school pupils and assisting in a teacher training session about portable seismometers.)
