Leading Inside Out, LLC Information

The mission of Leading Inside Out, LLC is to advance strategies that develop authentic, inclusive, and collaborative leadership; engage community members as partners in solving community problems; and help diverse leaders and groups achieve greater impact together. From keynotes and workshops to coaching and consulting, my goal is to help leaders gain the insights, strategies, and tools to get better results. I spent two decades building an organization, advising other organizations, and participating in networks with other social entrepreneurs, community builders, and advocates. I’ve been a client of plenty of consultants, worked with an executive coach for over a decade, and cultivated many mentors. The best consultants helped me move from the dance floor to the balcony for perspective; helped me understand both the technical and adaptive challenges I faced; shared some new insights, knowledge, and tools; and facilitated our team to build on our assets and values to develop the capacities needed to achieve our goals. They also encouraged my perseverance and growth as change is never easy. My goal is to be a thought partner, advisor, and facilitator that helps leaders and organizations build the insights and capacities needed to achieve better results. Through my experience, resources, and networks, I help nonprofits and philanthropists build purpose, people, engagement, and results. Current clients include: Annie E. Casey Foundation, Georgetown University Beeck Center for Social Innovation & Impact, Results for America, and the Seattle Parks Foundation. I also spent one-third of my time as Senior Advisor to The Collective Impact Forum, a partnership of FSG and The Aspen Forum for Community Solutions. In addition, I currently serve on the boards of The United Way of Greater Milwaukee, NYU Leadership Initiative, The Corps Network, and Independent Sector. I also advise many other leaders and groups.
