The company, which specialises in windows and doors for the housebuilding sector, has seen a month-on-month sales increase for the first five months of this year. H Jarvis Ltd expects that trend is set to continue for the remainder of the 2007, putting the company on course for a record year. Following a review of the production processes at its 50,000 sq. ft. factory in conjunction with Durham University and the DTI manufacturing advisory service, H Jarvis has significantly expanded its capacity and is now equipped to produce 2,000 units per week. Dave Glendinning, managing director of H Jarvis Ltd says, "These are extremely exciting times for the company and our ongoing increase in sales is extremely encouraging. Our approach is about being a 'solutions provider' for housebuilders with the flexibility to handle any window and door requirement at a given development. That includes numerous colour options, curtain walling, vertically sliding sashes and composite doors. "We have concentrated on delivering high quality products to the housebuilding and commercial sectors, backed with a first-rate service, and our continued success shows that this approach is proving extremely effective." Employing 70 staff and established in 1878, Marske-by-the-Sea based H Jarvis Ltd offers a window and door design, fabrication and installation service for the housebuilding industry across the north of England and Scotland. In addition, the company works with local authorities and schools in the region on contracts which also include curtain walling.
