The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) is the world’s largest association of ophthalmologists, representing more than 32,000 eye physicians and surgeons worldwide. AAO is a global leader in ophthalmology education, providing continuing medical education (CME), clinical training, and the latest advancements in eye care. We support ophthalmologists across every subspecialty, including retina, glaucoma, cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. Through world-class education, clinical resources, and events like the AAO Annual Meeting, we help eye care professionals stay at the forefront of patient care and innovation. We set the standards for ophthalmic education, advocate for patients and the public, and advance the delivery of high-quality vision care around the world.

Empowering visually impaired people to live fulfilling lives. Braille Institute is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate barriers to a fulfilling life caused by blindness and severe sight loss. We offer a variety of Free Programs, Classes and Services at five Centers and 220 Community Outreach locations throughout Southern California.

The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa, Usher syndrome, Stargardt disease, Leber congenital amaurosis, age-related macular degeneration, and the spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
