Laylock is a UK defence technology company developing modular force protection systems for the realities of modern warfare. Founded by a former Royal Engineers Officer with a decade of experience, Laylock is addressing one of the most significant capability gaps exposed by recent conflicts: passive protection against FPV drones, indirect fire and evolving battlefield threats. Our flagship system is a lightweight, modular, fortification designed to enhance trench systems, dugouts and defensive positions while reducing the reliance on heavy plant and complex logistics. Built around modularity and reusability, Laylock enables frontline commanders to rapidly upscale their overhead protection to typical trench positions. We are currently progressing prototype development alongside industry partners and engaging with the UK Ministry of Defence, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), academia and the wider defence innovation ecosystem. Our mission is simple: To improve warfighter survivability through innovative, rapidly deployable force protection systems.
