Lawson Foundation Information

The Lawson Foundation is a Canadian family foundation that invests in and engages with ideas, people and organizations that contribute to the healthy development and wellbeing of children and youth in Canada. We believe a strong relationship with nature and the land, a commitment to reconciliation, and systems that support inclusive and equitable approaches to mental and physical wellbeing are key to ensuring all children and youth can thrive. To achieve our mission, we leverage four strategic tools: Granting, Convening, Advocating, and Impact Investing. Our Impact Areas are Early Child Development, Child & Youth Diabetes, Youth Climate & Nature Leadership, Sector Infrastructure, and the Miggsie Fund. These Impact areas reflect our funding priorities and are grounded in the Foundation’s history, values, and long-term commitment. They highlight where we believe our resources can drive meaningful, lasting change. While each impact area is distinct, we actively seek opportunities for intersection to amplify our efforts.
