Laurens Electric Cooperative Information

Laurens Electric Cooperative (LEC) is a member-owned electric cooperative in Upstate South Carolina. Founded in 1939, the co-op employs 150 people and provides electric service to more than 53,000 residential, commercial and industrial consumers in Laurens, Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Abbeville, Newberry, and Union counties. LEC established ProTec Services in 1995 to provide extra services to it's members and the public, including home and commercial security, appliance protection home warranty, whole-home surge protection and medical alert. LEC also owns amc, LLC. Alarm Monitoring Center, LLC provides fire & security system monitoring from their state-of-the-art UL Listed central station.
