Our goal is to provide a beautiful, safe and meaningful space for groups dedicated to conscious ways of living. Our retreat center is located on the 160 acre Laurel Springs Ranch in the hills above Santa Barbara, adjacent to the Los Padres National Forest. At 2,800 feet up, we are a 20 minute jaunt from Santa Barbara, but miles away from distraction, annoyance and routine. The land is dynamic and compassionate, with every new day providing a fresh array of sights, sounds and smells. The staff is like family, providing care for guests and the property alike. PLEASE USE THE DIRECTIONS ON THIS PAGE rather than those provided by popular tools such as Mapquest, Google or your vehicle's own navigational system. The final 5 miles of your voyage will prove much easier if you do - trust us!! Take the last Santa Barbara exit - State St. / Hwy. 154. Drive straight through stoplight (State St.). Continue to 2nd stoplight and turn right (Hwy. 154/San Marcos Pass). Drive approximately 7 miles into the mountains. PASS Painted Cave Rd. and turn RIGHT on E. Camino Cielo. (This is at the top of the mountain - if you start going downhill, turn around!) ...see below. Just south of Los Alamos, exit on Hwy. 154 toward Los Olivos. Drive approximately 25 miles, passing Lake Cachuma. After Stagecoach Rd. get into the left lane and as you crest the hill, be prepared for a quick left turn onto E. Camino Cielo.
