LATCo Network Information

The LATCo Network (LN) is the official representative body for Local Authority Trading Companies (LATCo) across the UK. Membership is made up of LATCo’s and Local Authorities (LA) organisations. Supporting members to deliver services which are affordable, innovative, value for money and support local communities. With many challenges facing LA’s, including the need to explore new models to effectively and efficiently deliver services to local residents, a growing number of LA’s have established one or more LATCo as an alternative model to traditional forms of outsourcing, with the added benefit of generating new revenue to help pay for services. The LN with select partners provide a range of support services to LATCo and LA members to enable innovation through establishing new structures and models in local services delivery. What does a good LATCo look like? What are the real benefits of moving to this way of working? How does a LA capitalise on the full potential of a LATCo model? The LN is setup to not only answer these questions, but provide advice, guidance and support to members. Members benefit from advice from founder members with experience in exploring new deliver models and making positive impact in their local authorities. This page will keep you up to date with the LN as well as bring you a wealth of content on LATCo’s from key stakeholders across the network.
