Bruce Merrell is founder and owner of Laredo Construction and an award-winning Master Builder with over 35 years of construction expertise. It all began in Bruce's childhood. He was fascinated with the process, tools, and know-how of the crew remodeling his parent's home. From there the construction industry beckoned. Bruce apprenticed with his Uncle Ed, in the lath and stucco trade from the East Coast. It was during those formative years he learned the value of quality construction. "Being a lath and plaster subcontractor, we came along after the framers and other subs. I saw firsthand the range between poor quality and top-quality construction. Uncle Ed and I had to wrap all types. By far working with quality construction made the whole process run smoother with little-to-no fix-it expenses. Now that is value right there." After learning all he could from old Uncle Ed, he left the family business to apprentice in framing custom homes. A few years later he took a job learning the remodeling side of the industry to round out his experience. Now the time had come to utilize Bruce's business acumen and hang out his own shingle. The ensuing years brought numerous awards and a long list of repeat clients.
