LAR (Legal Assistance & Recovery) is an Insurance Company specialized in Legal Protection and Assistance and is active only in this domain. LAR was founded in 1935 and was one of the first Insurance Companies specialized in Legal Protection in Belgium. Former member of RIAD, the International Association of Legal Expenses Insurers. Besides it's activity as an Insurer, LAR also developped it's reinsurance and claims handling capabilities based on a specific know how . This know how had been translated into a entirely new approach on mediation and ADR within the insurance context. LAR's speciality translates clearly through it's organisation, product line and human resources.
