Lane Legal primarily practices in the area of commercial law, with a particular focus on business sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, distribution agreements, franchising & commercial leasing. We also have a strong private client practice providing conveyancing, estate planning, wills, probate and estate administration services. We have offices in Sydneys CBD and also at Hornsby. James was admitted into practice in 1990 after completing his Law degree at the University of Sydney. After practicing in a large national law firm he moved to Lane & Lane Solicitors and now practices as the principal of Lane Legal. James works primarily in the area of commercial law, but also has a strong wills and estates practice. Sophie has worked in legal firms for over 25 years. She is a paralegal specialising in wills, probates and estate administration. Simone commenced as a secretary at Lane & Lane Lawyers (now Lane Legal) in 2006. She obtained her advanced Diploma in Conveyancing in 2008 and now practices as a licensed conveyancer acting for vendors and purchasers in residential and commercial sales and purchases. Summer graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2008 and her name entered in the High Court Register of Practitioners in 2015. Summer is also a current member of the Law Society of NSW. Summer has over a decade of legal experience with the Australian Taxation Office, law firms and large professional services firms. She works in our city office practicing in the areas of commercial law, wills and estates. She is committed to providing high quality legal service, good communication and accessibility.
