Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University, the Sorority is currently a sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women. This includes over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic of Korea. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated® is comprised of more than 390,000 initiated members in more than 1122 graduate and undergraduate chapters located in multiple nations and territories including the United States, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Germany, Japan, Liberia, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, South Korea, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and West Africa. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was founded on a mission of five basic tenets that have remained unchanged since the sorority’s inception. Our mission is -to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, -to promote unity and friendship among college women, -to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, -to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind.” The organization is dedicated to fostering leadership, personal development, and lifelong commitment to community service. Through these efforts, AKA empowers women to make a meaningful impact in society.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity is a 501(c)7 non-profit organization. Founded in the year 1906, it is the nation’s first and oldest intercollegiate Greek-letter organization for established for African American college men. The fraternity has over 700 chapters that span all across the United States, the Bahamas, Germany, London, South Africa and South Korea. Mission Statement Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc develops leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities. Special Projects Alpha Phi Alpha's Special Projects are programs and activities that are sustained through collaborative efforts, memoranda of understanding, and/or outside financial assistance. Current Special Projects include: 1. Big Brothers/Big Sisters Mentoring Brothers program 2. Boy Scouts of America 3. College Life to Corporate Life Initiative (C2C) 4. Leadership Development Institute
