Established in Sydney in 1960, LAF Group brings more than six decades of expertise in material processing, product development and manufacturing, serving industrial, commercial, infrastructure, heritage and agricultural sectors across Australia, South East Asia, India and the Middle East. Our manufacturing expertise in lightweight specialty minerals and their derivatives spans diverse industry sectors. We specialise in high-performance exfoliated vermiculite and lightweight mineral derivatives, providing a fully integrated 360° passive fire protection solution that combines Australian manufacturing, technical consulting and in-house application—from product development and engineering through to installation. Our Australian-made passive fire protection portfolio includes Vermitex® TH/AF/DX, Vermiduct® and Foamed Vermitex®. These high-performance solutions are NCC compliant and CSIRO tested to Australian, British and international standards, delivering industry-leading fire resistance levels (FRLs) of up to 4 hours, while offering low application thickness and exceptional adhesion. Our horticultural-grade vermiculites provide sterile, chemical-free performance for soilless cultivation, potting mixes, soil conditioning and other agricultural applications.
