In Sri Lanka most of small and medium Industries or Enterprises (SME) and Micro Enterprises cannot bear cost of maintaining two systems for retail management and online selling. They prefer to use POS system and majority of the venders reluctant to use an e-commerce application. Because, use of their own e-commerce application need considerably high capital and recurring cost. These facts refrain SME to go for their own e-commerce application. On the other hand, if any vender wish to use both applications i.e POS system and the e-commerce application, they must enter same stock in to both applications. This way, same entry has to be inputted twice. Therefore, it’s clear that the time consumption would be considerably high to input data for a bigger stock. Sometime, they need another data entry employee to enter data to the e-commerce application. So, most of the venders believe return of income of e-commerce application is very less and it is useless. Then, as an industry a good online market is lost. This is happened especially in Fashion retail Industry in Sri Lanka. In this research I addressed for this main problem and fruitful solution has been provided. Accordingly, study was carried out and new software has been developed with the aim of a better advanced sales system in this context. When use this solution, need will not occur to update the website with online selling goods for a same stock which has already been put in to the Point Of Sales. Because, e-commerce application is automatically updated with this stock. In day to day operation of selling goods, once the good receive notice (GRN) is issued, that particular stock is updated in the website and thus it can be sold online too. This is the idea of Hybrid application in this Project.
