Ladies Work Remote was founded by Liz Shinn in 2017 in Washington, DC as a means to bring women who work remotely together on a weekly basis. She started the Atlanta chapter in early 2018. Ladies Work Remote utilizes the Meetup app to organize weekly coworking sessions and networking events. Membership in Atlanta has reached 250 members, and membership in DC recently reached the 300 member milestone.
