Le Devoir est un média d’information indépendant, sur mobile, papier, tablette et Web. Il a été fondé le 10 janvier 1910 par le journaliste et homme politique Henri Bourassa. Le fondateur avait souhaité que son journal demeure totalement indépendant et qu’il ne puisse être vendu à aucun groupe, ce qui est toujours le cas cent ans plus tard. De journal de combat à sa création, Le Devoir a évolué vers la formule du journal d’information dans la tradition nord-américaine.
