We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

BONPAIN started out as a small family business and has been at the forefront of the Belgian organic food movement since the 1970s. Today it serves a considerable number of organic supermarkets, restaurants and traiteurs with handmade breads and pastries of the highest quality. An artisan organic bakery, it treats each ingredient with the utmost respect and transforms these into quality products by applying traditional techniques. While quality and respect remain the undisputed pillars and essence of BONPAIN, João Martins, founder of the bakery, has elevated the artisan way of baking to a superior level. Thanks to his long-term vision for sustainable production practices and an obsession to strive for the ‘best bread possible’ he has been able to give technological innovation a vital role in his company. Applied with the finesse, which the respect for the artisan handcraft demands, he has been able to wholly eliminate artificial substances and procedures through technological innovation with the result of including only the purest ingredients, strictly free of artificial flavours yet full of complex aromas and healthy nutrients in his breads and pastries. This know-how has been successfully transferred to the sister bakery, BONSÆNS, which is specialized in delicious gluten free and mostly vegan products.
