La Rumbeta Information

La Rumbeta is a magical place located at the end of the Ramblas with seating space for 98 people. We offer Rumba Catalana live musical performances, including drinks and typical local snacks. Catalan Rumba is considered to be the only native born musical style in our city in the twentieth century. Most of our artists are Barcelona Catalan gypsies, from Gracia and Raval neighbourhoods. It is, therefore, a show that has authenticity, uniqueness and an unrivalled cultural quality in the Catalan capital. La Rumbeta is a dynamic, interactive and fun show. It contains cultural references about the origin and development of Rumba Catalana, technical explanations of its musical practices (el "ventilador"/ the "fan"). It also includes participatory demonstrations that teach the audience how to perform our style of music and songs. There are two daily sessions, one at 19.30 and the second at 21.30, with a duration of 1 hour and 15 min. The meal we offer consists of a tasting of traditional Catalan food, including tomato bread and different high quality local cheese and sausages with all drinks (champagne, white wine, red wine, beer and soft drinks) served in the Catalan traditional glass wine pitcher ("porró"). Additionally, we have an excellent bar to serve our customers. La Rumbeta is a truly different place when compared to the other leisure offers that can be found in Barcelona.
