It has been recognized by specialists as one of the most innovative website for kids in 2007. 💡2002: founded by three crazy engineers, as a hobby. Their ambition: make kids spend "clever" time on the Internet, and a "protected" space in which parents are confident. Company incorporation. 1 m€ seed funding to develop and monetize the audience. 🚀2007-2009: growth of the community *50 in 3 years; business model: freemium and advertising; awarded several Startup Contests: BFM Start Up Academy, Concours Talents, Tremplin Entreprise, Digital Creator Lagardère; deals with key media (MTV, Allociné, SFR). 🏁 2010: the revenu / user is too low and the market context is critical: it has never been so easy to create and share personal content with smartphones and Facebook. We stop the project and sell its assets. Since then, LaCartoonerie.com is operated by a non-profit association.
