His research at the University Hospital of Maastricht (NL) and publications (e.g. in The Lancet) led to the conclusion that honey is capable of healing wounds fast and efficient. The company patented these unique products and in 2002 L-Mesitran® was the first CE-marked product based on honey on the European market.The L-Mesitran® products are now available in almost all European countries and several countries outside the EU.
