KyivPride as a non-governmental organization that has been contributing to the raising LGBTQIA+ visibility since it was founded in 2016. Our goal is to promote full respect for human rights for LGBTQIA+ people in Ukraine, to encourage an appreciation for these rights by raising LGBTQIA+ visibility and their participation in social processes. Before 2022, every year more and more members of LGBTQIA+ community from the regions took part in KyivPride events and a number of volunteers help to hold the Equality March. KyivPride is the largest LGBTQIA+ event and the most visible queer organization in Ukraine, which makes it the main media outlet on LGBTQIA+ issues in the country. NGO KyivPride uses this opportunity to strengthen voices of the community and to raise issues and challenges which LGBTQIA+ community in Ukraine is facing.
