Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board is the state education and training authority for the Limerick and Clare region in Ireland. It is one of 16 statutory regional education authorities established by the Education and Training Boards Act 2013. Registered Charity Number: 20083830
Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board delivers educational services to over 38,000 students and learners annually. The authority employs 2,500 staff. It has an average annual budget of €173 million across all its divisions and its capital programme investment in the region is €100 million.
The authority has responsibility for 18 post-primary schools, 2 community national schools, 2 outdoor education and training centres, coordination of youth work provision in the region, 28 College of Further Education and Training campuses, 1 School of Music in Limerick City, 3 Music Generation programmes and works with community groups in approximately 300 locations throughout Limerick and Clare.
Louth and Meath ETB (LMETB) is the largest education and training provider in Louth and Meath, providing a broad range of education and training services to over 37,000 students annually.
LMETB directly manages eighteen Post-Primary schools, including one with a PLC component, two PLC colleges, four Community National schools, a Centre for European Schooling and is joint patron of six Community schools.
LMETB is the leading provider of Further Education and Training (FET) in both counties, providing a wide variety of courses with flexible learning options, to suit all backgrounds and abilities.
Educational opportunities include a wide range of full-time or part-time courses, accredited or non-accredited courses, vocational courses delivered through Post Leaving Certificate, VTOS, Youthreach and the Regional Skills Training Centre, adult guidance and literacy services, community education support, BTEI, apprenticeships. We offer a range of services in co-operation with the The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and access to the Adult Education Guidance and Information Service. Learners include early school leavers, young people aged 16 and upwards, where school has not been successful for them, those who wish to upskill or retrain, those who wish to participate in a traineeship or earn while they learn on an apprenticeship and those who wish to learn English.
LMETB actively pursues the further development of education and training services in both counties and has a history of responding flexibly to community and employer needs and aspirations. In this vein, LMETB is proud to have recently opened an Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre of Excellence, the first of its kind in the country.
