Headquartered in Rialto, CA, KTI, Inc., operates pipe plants and associated businesses in California, Texas and Louisiana. KTI is comprised of a group of growing, dynamic companies specializing in products, services and support for the construction industry. These range from the production of concrete, fiberglass and polymer pipe to engineering services and trucking and rail operations. KTI had its origins in Southern California in 1977 when Ken Thompson formed a contracting company—Ken Thompson, Inc.—to install concrete pipelines and underground structures. In the following years the business shifted its focus to pipe production and related endeavors and began to expand into other areas of the country. This past experience in the underground construction sector, however, still plays a vital role in our KTI philosophy. We know it is important to look at projects from the perspectives of all involved, not just ours as a supplier. This allows us to form a strong partnership with the engineer, the contractor and the end user to find the best way to get the job done.
