KTDA Foundation Information

KTDA Foundation is the corporate social investment and sustainability arm of KTDA Holdings, dedicated to advancing inclusive growth, resilience, and long-term prosperity among Kenya’s smallholder tea farming communities. Established in April 2010 as a company limited by guarantee, it serves as KTDA Group’s vehicle for delivering high-impact, farmer-centered development. Guided by the principle “Farmer First, No Farmer Left Behind,” the Foundation strengthens livelihoods beyond tea by addressing key economic, social, and environmental challenges. Its integrated programmes span economic diversification, climate resilience, financial inclusion, education, health, and the empowerment of women and youth—reaching over 700,000 farmers and impacting more than 3 million people across 16 tea-growing counties. As KTDA Group’s development and innovation engine, the Foundation is transitioning toward a sustainable, market-led model. This includes Majani Agriwealth Enterprise, its social enterprise arm, which unlocks alternative value chains, expands incomes, and creates employment, with all returns reinvested into community programmes. Through strong partnerships and community-driven approaches, KTDA Foundation continues to build resilient livelihoods and secure the future of Kenya’s tea-growing regions.
