KROM Kendama Information

KROM Kendama is a young start-up with wings. Founded by two playful Danes, Thorkild May & Philip Eldridge. We set out in 2010 with Kendama.dk on a mission, striving towards sharing the world of Kendama with as many players, old and young, around the world. After our first encountering with the Japanese game we had the company set up to import high-end Japanese kendamas within the year. During the following years we grew organically from B2C sales to focusing largely on B2B sales at ALL levels, from the smallest juggling & design stores to global toy / leisure companies. A few years into the business, in 2012, our own brand KROM Kendama was formed as a result of the overall lack of quality and innovation from existing brands. We want(ed) to build further on the sport. Thorkild & Philip moved up in the international league of professionel players conquering titles all over the world, among others: - 2012 U.S. Freestyle Champion (Thorkild) - 2013 European Champion (Philip) - 2013 European Freestyle Champion (Philip) - 2014 World Freestyle Champion (Thorkild) - 2014 World Performance Champions (Thorkild&Philip) With our titles and skill level we understand where the product can be altered to reach new levels. This is a big part of our work today, and all designing and product development happens on Vesterbro in Copenhagen at the KROM HQ. With a high focus on original designs and growing the awareness world wide we are working in and out of Denmark as professionel players together with our global team of players to promote the game and make it the best it can be. We are always open to new adventures, so please don't hesitate to share your thoughts. Since 2012 we have specialized in doing team building workshops with the kendama as a key element.
