Kristie Knights is a Licensed Psychotherapist who specializes in complex trauma, trained in EMDR, DBT, and CBT. She has practiced as a therapist for 21 years. Kristie is passionate in serving others through the gift God has given her. It has often been said by her clients they feel as if they are sharing space with a dear friend. Most recently she has launched the FIRST Concierge Therapy Services Model in Pittsburgh, PA! This type of therapy service to clients resonates with Kristie's Mission to walk alongside a client from day one, reinforcing they are not alone, even between sessions. As a Professional Speaker, she loves to inspire and motivate audiences sharing her own journey of struggle from the depth of sorrow, depression, and a suicide attempt to her rise through Jesus and her own therapeutic hard work to a place of joy! Kristie has been there too! She is a Best Selling Author, and Founder/CEO of a 501(c)3 Non-Profit, iRise. The mission of iRise is to eradicate suicide. It offers various trainings and services to the community in the area of suicide prevention and awareness. Kristie is Certified Instructor in the Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Training. This is an evidence-based training for the community in suicide prevention and awareness. This service can be accessed through iRise. Mental health awareness and suicide prevention is reaches all corners of our community, including our churches. Kristie is a Certified Instructor through Fresh Hope. She offers training and implementation of adult and teen christian mental health groups in churches. This service can be accessed through iRise. In her private practice, she has helped guide hundreds of clients, both nationally and internationally, to lead a life of joy and purpose. Kristie founded the non-profit iRise Leadership Institute in April of 2015. The mission is to eradicate suicide through educational support in the community. It is governed by a Board of Directors. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, National Board of Certified Counselors, and American Association of Suicidology. Kristie is passionate and trained in Acute and Complex Trauma Treatment, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Response), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) treatment modalities. She specializes in those who struggle with suicidal thoughts, multiple attempts, or who have lost a loved to suicide, acute complex trauma, and PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). She is passionate to work with those on the frontline and first responders. Kristie has additional training in EMDR to treat those with chronic pain, autoimmune disease, and digestive disorders with great success.
