KPS Reliability Information

KPS Reliability LLC was formed in 2016 to help companies improve their bottom line. This is done by improving reliability by eliminating repetitive problems. A simplified definition of reliability is the probability of going a specific amount of time under specific conditions without a failure. Each failure is, by most people’s accounts, a problem. Eliminating these problems by providing effective solutions increases the reliability of a system which in turn improves margins and profits. The total process is what most of us call Asset Management, which involves RCM, maintenance planning, scheduling, training and other tools. It has always been interesting to me that problem solving is not listed as one of the most effective tools available to everyone. It is, without a doubt, the single most cost-effective tool with some of the highest ROI available. Problem solving is a skill that is necessary in all aspects of business as well as our personal lives - HR, production, maintenance, safety, quality, dealing with vendors, stores, personal problems, children, etc. The list is endless. Most of us believe that we are born with the ability to solve problems. By simply living, we assume we can develop and hone these skills. While life experiences can help improve these skills, it is still by trial and error. This learning process can be sped up by getting formal training and assistance in truly honing these skills to develop the ability to be top-notch problem solvers.
